This is where our journey begins. Let me introduce you to my sanctuary, what I do, and why!
Hi, I'm Angelina, the proud owner of Cosy Cove Guinea Pig Sanctuary! I’m 18 years old and have had a passion for animals since I was born. I’ve owned guinea pigs since I was 13, starting with a little pup who I rescued and rehabilitated from a severe eye infection. His mother wasn't nursing him, and he was only 3 weeks old at the time. Determined to help him, I fed him every two hours, even through the night, and that's where my love for guinea pigs truly began!
Currently, I care for several animals: guinea pigs, two rabbits, two dogs, two cats, and two horses. One of my horses is a rescue from a neglect case; she now has a forever home with me! While I have experience rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses, my focus has mostly been on guinea pigs since I started this journey at 13.
My goal in starting this sanctuary is to provide guinea pigs with a lifelong, loving, and safe home, where they will be cared for and loved without any worries. I plan to collaborate with SPCA Glasgow and surrounding areas to take in guinea pigs that are homeless, abandoned, or neglected, as well as those from community members who can no longer care for their pets.
This sanctuary is a non-profit organization.
